DePhillips Athletic Club: Carpentiere’s RBI double lifts Mets over OLBS

Pasquale Carpentiere's two-out, two-run double in the final inning lifted the DAC Mets to a 6-3 win against Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament in a DAC Texas League game.

Leading the offensive charge for the Mets with multiple hits were were Derek Chiang, Christpher Gluck, Carpentiere, David Thompson, Lucas McBride (two RBIs) and Kyle Lees.

Blake Goodman made several outstanding plays in the outfield, as did Lees at short, Carpentiere at third, Chiang at pitcher and Teryl Montgomery and Billy McEntee at catcher.

Also having a great all around game was Peter Pirgousis.

Elizabeth Rocco made the defensive play of the game for OLBS, gunning a runner at second from left field.

Other defensive highlights were turned in by Joseph Higgins and Billy Kinkel at second and Connor McCormick at first.

OLBS was led at the plate by Steven Cherpelis, Shaun Meier, Brandon Choy (two RBIs), Ante Sokosa (one RBI) and Tyler Messina.

John Assimaco also had an oustanding game.
