The St. Andrew’s girls’ soccer team lost to St. Luke’s, 2-0,  in a CYO Rookie Division game last weekend. Despite the final score, it was St. Andrew’s strongest performance of the year. The defense was led by Elisabeth McKee and Caitlin Mari Castenada. Katie McCreesh and Jessica Rodriguez controlled the midfield and forwards Maria Alteese and Kristin Poptean had strong efforts.

The following day, St. Andrew’s was defeated 3-0 by St. Francis Assisi at the Italian Federation Field in Astoria. Despite the score, goalkeeper Juliet Mullan made several outstanding saves to keep St. Andrew’s in the game.
