Man robbed of wallet, cell phone: Cops

AUBURNDALE — Police said a man was walking home from a bar early Sunday morning when he was jumped from behind by two unknown men.

Police said the victim was walking home shortly after 4 a.m. when the men approached him from behind, hit him in the head and knocked him to the ground before pummeling him and robbing him.

Authorities said the victim was robbed of his wallet and cell phone in the incident, which occurred near the corner of 37th Avenue and 192nd Street.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
