Woman victim of sexual assault, robbery: Police

FRESH MEADOWS — Investigators were looking for a man who they claim sexually assaulted and robbed a woman Friday night.

The incident took place near 185th Street and the Long Island Expressway around 11:50 p.m., where the suspect approached the 20-year-old victim from behind, police said.

He grabbed her, forcibly took her to an isolated area and sexually assaulted her, according to police.

The suspect, described by investigators as a black man with a multi-colored striped shirt with matching hat and dark-colored jeans, then robbed the woman and fled the area.
