FRESH MEADOWS — A Corona man was arrested Dec. 31 after he fled the scene of an accident that claimed the life of a Hollis man, police said.
Police said the Ford Explorer driven by Corona resident Danny Rodriguez, 37, and the motorcycle driven by Christopher Virnan, 20, collided at 12:21 a.m. in the vicinity of Woodhaven Boulevard and Metropolitan Avenue.
Rodriguez ran from the scene but was arrested several blocks from the incident that took place in the vicinity of Woodhaven Boulevard and Metropolitan Avenue, police said.
Rodriguez’s license has been suspended, police said.
Other charges against Rodriguez were pending, according to police.
