FLUSHING — A Franklin Avenue resident was arrested on assault charges last week for allegedly hitting another man in the head with a piece of wood, authorities said.
According to the Queens district attorney, Ronfu Wang of 134-25 Franklin Ave. was arraigned on third-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon charges after he allegedly struck another man in the head with a piece of wood, causing swelling and an abrasion.
Authorities said witnesses allegedly saw Wang hit another man with the wood outside of 134-41 Maple Ave. Aug. 18 shortly after 6 p.m. and knock him to the ground.
Wang is due back in court Oct. 5, the DA said.
