Assault victim hit with belts in Corona: Post

CORONA — Two men are accused of beating a third man with belts at about 3:30 a.m. Sept. 19, according to the New York Post.

Rigoberto Aguaiza, 22, and Carlos Chokan, 22, allegedly attacked their victim at the corner of 45th Avenue and Junction Boulevard, according to the Post.

The two men, accompanied by an unidentified third man, allegedly whipped the victim with leather belts on his head and body, exposing a gash above his left eye, the Post reported.

Aguaiza and Chokan were charged with assault, weapons possession and harassment, a spokeswoman for Queens District Attorney Richard Brown told the Post. The third alleged assailant had not been located or apprehended as of Sunday, and police were still searching for him.
