The Long Island Rail Road is conducting a tryout on the Port Washington line of new service to allow riders to find out train status and schedules using their own electronic devices.
The LIRR said passengers can get such information by logging on to mta.info/lirr and clicking on the “Long Island Rail Road Train Time” link.
Train Time is available on computers at work or home and on smartphones.
