JACKSON HEIGHTS — Police said a 53-year-old man is in critical condition after being hit by a car pulling out of a parking space Friday at Broadway and 72nd Street.
A spokesman for the department said the victim had been leaning against a parked Access-A-Ride livery van when a 33-year-old black man hit him. The victim was found at noon lying on the ground with head trauma and was transported to Elmhurst Hospital Center.
There is no criminality suspected, police said.
