Fire Department officials said the body of a woman was pulled from the marshlands near Hook Creek Wildlife Sanctuary in Rosedale Tuesday morning but have yet to identify her.
Police responded to calls of a person floating in the water around 10:38 a.m. when they found the black woman in her 20s unconscious and unresponsive with no immediate signs of trauma, FDNY officials said.
An investigation into the woman’s identity and cause of death was ongoing, police said.
