Today’s news:

People always make things out to be bigger than they really are

TimesLedger Newspapers

So many letter writers continually want to bring up the Benghazi “scandal” instead of admitting that the puff of smoke they see in front of their eyes is actually New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s chances of ever living in the White House going up in smoke.

Want to discuss Benghazi? Let’s do just that. Security was insufficient? Perhaps funding could have been increased, but Republicans cut embassy security funding by $128 million in 2011 and $331 million in 2012.

Then-U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned that the Republican cuts to her department would be “detrimental to America’s national security,” but Republicans disagreed.

End of discussion.

The writer blames Repubs for the cut in embassy security but this is a crock. The administration knew that there was a high probability for violent terrorist activity on the anniversary of 9/11 and should have been prepared. Stop giving blame, the buck stops at the White House.

No, it is not a crock it is the truth. Exactly how do you beef up security when your budge it cut. No, the blame goes directly on the Republicans cuts, bottom line. So the blame is given in the right direction.

Nick from Bayside says:

Mr. La Rosa is right on. The Obsrublican Party has blocked and/or sabotaged every proposal, initiative or request put forward by the Democratic Party regardless of the damage incurred by our country. This they have done in their rabid desire to recapture the Presidency as they have the House of Representatives and the (Unballanced) majority in the Supreme Court. Point in fact, by defunding the Benghazi embassy security; it was made impossible to protect it against the infamous attack to come. This allowed them to shift the blame to the Democratically selected U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. Country be damned; Party First!!!

The present Republican (Tea-Tainted) Party is a dismal regurgitation of the once proud GOP; the Grand Old Party which coincided with the end of the Eisenhower Presidency.

All of Mr. LaRosa's letters are right on point. He states facts. Something republiscums deny. I wish he had his own newspaper and show on MSNBC
