Man shot to death in Rochdale Village

A Jamaica resident was fatally shot Sunday night near 166th Place in Rochdale, according to police.

Around 9:57 p.m., police from the 113th Precinct responded to a 911 call of a male shot in the rear of 134-39 166 Place in Rochdale Village, police said.

The victim has been has been identified as 32 year-old Robert DeJesus from 119-01 Long St. in Jamaica.

Upon arrival NYPD officers discovered DeJesus with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and upper torso.

Police said there was a baby shower nearby but have not confirmed if Dejesus was a guest at the celebration.

According to police officials, emergency medical service units responded and transported DeJesus to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. where he was pronounced dead on arrival at 10:34 p.m.

Rochdale Village is the largest cooperative housing complex in Queens and has its own Queens Library branch.

There were no arrests and the investigation was ongoing, police said.
