Man shot and killed outside Sunnyside strip joint

By Bill Parry

Police were looking for a gunman who shot and killed a 38-year-old man outside a Sunnyside strip club early Saturday morning. Officers from the 108th Precinct, responding to a 911 call of a person shot at Queens Boulevard and 50th Street, discovered the victim with a gunshot to his torso, according to the NYPD.

EMS responded to the scene and took the man the Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead.

A person familiar with the investigation said the gunman and the victim, both white men, had been inside the Secrets Gentleman’s Club at 49-14 Queens Blvd. and got into an argument while leaving the premises. The suspect drew a gun and shot the victim in the chest and fled, according to the source who said there were a half dozen witnesses who are cooperating with the investigation.

The NYPD said there had been no arrests and the investigation was ongoing. The identity of the victim was pending family notification.
